Art Composition & Set Up: There is a one-time $79 fee to set up your artwork. This is a standard industry fee for converting your existing image into a computer file that can be read by the embroidery machines and covers up to a 10,000 stitch count design. If your custom embroidery design will require more, we will contact you before processing your order. No art composition & digitizing set-up fees apply on reorders.

Design Development Process: After setting up your logo or artwork, we will create a sew out on a swatch of fabric. We will provide you with a proof of your custom design for your approval. However, if you prefer, the "sew-out" can be snail mailed to you. You will want to contact us as soon as convenient with your approval. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Embroidery General Questions

Q. What is embroidery?

A. Embroidery is the embellishment of garments with decorative needlework, in which your design is actually sewn into the fabric. Embroidery provides a professional look for casual business wear, bags, and hats.

Q. How is embroidery pricing determined?

A. Embroidery prices are determined by stitch-count of your digitized logo. Stitch-count is the actual number of stitches your logo requires to embroider it. Our online prices include one default location of up to 8,000 stitches and up to 6 colors, which covers most logos. If your logo exceeds 8,000 stitches or 6 colors, we will contact you to discuss any possible extra charges.

Q. What is a sew-out? Can I get one for my logo?

A. A sew-out is a sample of your embroidered logo sewn into a fabric swatch. On request, we will produce and mail you a sew-out for your approval before your order goes into production. Please keep in mind that requesting a sew-out may delay your order a few days.

Q. How do I take care of my apparel so that the embroidery doesn't degrade?

A. For best results it is always wise to turn your garment inside out when laundering and use cold to lukewarm water and line dry. Do not iron over the embroidery. You may bleach an embroidered product if necessary; the threads ShirtMeOnline uses will not fade.

Q. What is the cost to have my name put on my jacket or shirt?

A. There is a charge of $6.99 per item to add embroidered names.

Q. What is the cost to have more than 8,000 stitches in one location?

A. The additional charge is $0.80 per 1,000 stitches.
